At Lamorbey Park archers we shoot both recurve and "traditional" bows, and we have a good mix of members, some keen on competition, and some who shoot purely for the joy of aiming for, and hitting, the "Gold".   We have a full calendar of internal club competitions (See the Resources section - at left) which includes some "fun shoots" like Halloween, Christmas Pudding and our medieval themed Grand Knights Challenge. Competitions for Recurve, Barebow and Longbow are always hotly contested.  Some members enjoy competing in "away" shoots, widening their archery horizons with new challenges.  We don't have any facility to shoot indoors, but we have access to the facilities in the adjacent hall for comfort breaks. The cost of membership of L.P.A is £60 for Adults (18 and over) and £50 for Juniors.  Our membership year starts on 1st June, and pro-rata fees are calculated on a monthly basis for people joining through the year.  Associate membership is available for archers who are club members elsewhere, and there is a 20% discount for associate membership. We can generally accommodate visiting archers, charging a £5 green fee each time, and visits are limited to 5 in any 12 month period.  All L.P.A members must hold membership of Archery GB, Kent Archery Association, and Southern Counties Archery Society, and visitors will be required to prove up-to-date membership of Archery GB.                 We shoot outdoors every weekend, assuming that the weather forecast is dry. Our Saturday sessions we assemble at 11:45 and on Sundays at 09:45, and sessions will generally end when the chosen "round" comes to an end.
